Area seniors make college choices

SECTION 618 — Several area standouts have made their college choices official, including four basketball players and a cheerleader.

Mt. Vernon’s Maggie Turner is headed to Arkansas State where she will cheer.

Fellow Mt. Vernon Ram Parker Jennings is headed to Meramec College in St. Louis where he will play baseball.

Another Ram, Jackson Creel, has signed with Rend Lake where he will play basketball for new head coach Brian Gamber.

Nashville’s Terry Pelczynski is also headed to Rend Lake to play basketball.

Woodlawn’s Race Rynski will join Creel and Pelczysnki at Rend Lake. Rynski played for Gamber the past four years at Woodlawn.

And Massac County’s Julian Russell is headed to Shawnee where he will play basketball for John Sparks and the Saints.
