Harrisburg sweeps home golf match

HARRISBURG — Harrisburg welcomed Zeigler-Royalton/Christopher and Johnston City to Shawnee Hills Country Club Friday afternoon. A total of 29 boys and girls hit the course.

The Bulldogs posted a score of 160 to win the boys side by 32 strokes over the Tornadoes. The Lady Bulldogs tallied a 193 to edge the Tornadoes by five shots on the girls side. Johnston City only competed as individuals on both sides.

Individually, Harrisburg’s Krayton Morse took home medalist honors with a 37. Morse’s teammates Andrew Bittle and Grant Wilson tied for second three shots back. ZRC’s Carter Maloney finished fourth with a 41.

Harrisburg’ Madison McCluskey earned medalist honors on the girls side. She also carded a 37. ZRC’s Chelsea Young was second with a 45. Harrisburg’s Frankie Leigh Nicholes and ZRC’s Addisyn Calloni tied for third with 48s.
