Pinckneyville Celebrates Volleyball Signees

PINCKNEYVILLE — When we visited Pinckneyville’s volleyball practice a couple of months ago, new head coach Mike Layne raved about the talent he was inheriting.

College coaches have noticed as well.

Thursday they celebrated signing day at Pinckneyville, as four seniors have signed to play at the next level.

Pinckneyville senior Bella Pasquino signed to play volleyball at Lincoln Land Community College.

Bella Pasquino will be headed to Springfield and Lincoln Land Community College to play for highly successful head coach Jim Dietz.

Pinckneyville senior Payton Morgan signed to play volleyball at Wabash Valley College.

Payton Morgan signed with Wabash Valley College. Morgan saID academics made Wabash the perfect fit.

Pinckneyville senior Chloe Yates signed to play volleyball at Frontier Community College.

Chloe Yates signed with Frontier Community College. Yates saID the decision was easy after her campus visit.

Pinckneyville senior Grace Numi signed to play volleyball at Rend Lake College.

Grace Numi will be headed to Rend Lake College next year. Numi said the opportunity to stay close to home just made sense.

The four seniors admit being relieved that the recruiting process is over.

Now they hope to get to play the final seasons as Lady Panthers.
