Warren reflects on long, successful career

THOMPSONVILLE — The end of the volleyball season in April marked the end of an era in Thompsonville.

Jerry Warren has been a fixture in southern Illinois volleyball coaching the Thompsonville Lady Tigers high school and junior high teams for 36 years. After 43 total years of coaching, Warren is officially retired.

Shortly after coaching his final game, Warren sat down with Darren Kinnard to talk about a wide range of topics. In the second part, Warren talks about about his time in Thompsonville where the court is named for him, how a fellow coach surprised him during his final season, and the legacy he leaves.
