NASHVILLE — The Nashville Hornets are trying to make a nearly identical trek to the 2A State Championship game as they did in 2019. Two years ago, Nashville won at Bismarck/Henning/Rossville/Alvin in the second round, beat Pana in the quarterfinals, then won at Decatur St. Teresa to make it to the title game.

Nashville won at BHRA last week and beat Pana Saturday by nearly the exact same score as two years ago.

Connor Gladson rushed for 101 yards and scored four touchdowns to help lead the Hornets past previously the unbeaten Panthers 43-19. In 2019, Nashville beat Pana 41-19.

Hornets’ senior quarterback Kolten Gajewski threw for 297 yards on just 10 completions, including a 78-yard connection with Ben Reid for a touchdown late in the third quarter putting the Hornets up 36-13.

Unlike in 2019, Nashville will be at home next Saturday against St. Teresa in the semis. The Bulldogs blasted Breese Mater Dei 48-14 to improve to 12-0. Next Saturday’s winner will be headed to DeKalb and the 2A title game the day after Thanksgiving.
