BENTON — Benton’s Ensley Tedeschi is the Orthopaedic Center of Southern Illinois Player of the Week for December 13-18. The junior averaged 21.5 points, 6 rebounds, and 4.5 steals in a pair of Rangerettes’ wins.

Tedeschi has played a ton of varsity minutes in her three seasons. She knew more would be expected this year after the graduation of some key seniors last year. It’s a role she’s embraced.

While the Rangerettes have piled up wins and have now won the conference title outright, it has not been a smooth and easy journey. The team has had a couple of bouts with illness and had activity paused. Tedeschi says that unknown factor pushes her and her teammates.
