Congratulations to Mt. Vernon Rams Track & Field, this week’s WMIX Sports/Josh Finley, Country Financial Rams of the Week! The Runnin’ Rams won a LOADED 16-team Mascoutah Invitational (Military Classic) on Friday, April 15! The Rams with 121 points outdistanced Edwardsville’s 103, and Triad’s 103 to win the event. Dakota Minor took the pole vault at 13’0″; Alec Sledge outran the 110m hurdles in 14.78 seconds; Michael Pittman claimed the 300m hurdles in 41.24 seconds; and Marcus Garrett won the 200 in 23.29 seconds. As a team the Rams took the 4×4 in 3:31.37! Add 7 other top 4 performances on the day and it’s easy to see why the Runnin’ Rams Track & Field are the Rams of the Week!
