It’s very, very rare that we have WMIX Sports/Josh Finley Country Financial RAMS of the Week, but here we are! Congratulations to Rams Football’s Mylan Nettles and Rams Golf’s Riley Tompkins. Both had incredible performances last week!

Tompkins led the Rams at the Carbondale 2A Golf Regional at Hickory Ridge! His 85 on Wednesday, Sept. 28 would send him onto the Waterloo 2A Sectional where his season would come to a close with an 89. Tompkins was the only Ram individual to advance to sectional play.

Nettles had a great night defensively against the Carbondale Terriers on Fri., Sept. 30. It was his speed that got him into the running for this award in record-breaking fashion. Tied at 35 with about a minute left, Mylan ran a kick off back for a touchdown from a school record 99-yards out!
