For the first time this season, there’s a new number one team in the Section618.com Volleyball Coaches Poll. NCOE had held down the top spot since the preseason poll, but in the final regular season poll, Fairfield is the new number one team. The Lady Mules went 7-0 last week, including beating NCOE and then winning their own Fairfield Invitational Saturday.

NCOE, Nashville, and Carterville are next along with Massac County who moves into the top five. Pinckneyville, Edwards County, Hamilton County, Centralia, and Carmi-White County round out the top 10.

Marion, Murphysboro, Woodlawn, Trico, Goreville, and Du Quoin also received votes.
