ZEIGLER — Longtime rivals Trico and Steeleville will go toe to toe for the Z-R 1A Volleyball Regional championship.

The Lady Pioneers took care of the host Tornadoes 25-10, 25-11 in the first semifinal to improve to 34-1 on the season.

Steeleville rolled past Cobden in the opening game of the second semi, but Cobden came back to win the second to force the decision third. Trailing 14-11, the Warriors went on a 12-1 run to seize control, and wrap up a 25-10, 24-26, 25-17 win.

Trico and Steeleville will meet at 6:00 Thursday for the regional title with the winner advancing to next week’s Trico Sectional.
