Orthopaedic Center of Southern Illinois Player of the Week nominees

Voting is now open and will run through midnight Friday for this week’s Orthopaedic Center of Southern Illinois Player of the Week.

Here are the nominees:

Justin Durham, Wayne City: The senior was named MVP of the Christopher Turkey Tournament after averaging 23 points, 11 rebounds, 6 assists, 3 blocks, and 2 steals to lead the Indians to a 3-0 record and the tournament championship.

Tyler Franklin, Cobden: The senior was named to the All-Tournament Team at the Elverado Turkey Tournament after averaging 35 points and 15 rebounds to lead the Appleknockers to a 2-1 record and the consolation championship. Franklin set a new school record with 57 points in a win over Galatia. He posted double-doubles in all 3 games, including 27 points and 24 rebounds in the win over Elverado.

Cruz Harlan, Centralia: The junior was named MVP of the Roxana Hoopsgiving Classic after averaging 18 points while making 20-41 3-pointers to lead the Orphans to a 4-0 record and the tournament championship.

Isaac Hosman, Massac County: The junior was named MVP of the Vienna Classic after averaging 23 points, 6 rebounds, and 8 assists to lead the Patriots to a 4-0 record and the tournament championship.

Kaelee Karcher, Hamilton County: The senior was named to the All-Tournament Team at the Lady Foxes Tournament after averaging 11 points, 4 rebounds, and 2 steals to lead the Lady Foxes to a 5-0 record and the tournament championship.

Alayna Kraus, Okawville: The junior was named to the All-Tournament Team at the Nashville Thanksgiving Tournament after averaging 18 points, 4 rebounds, 2 assists, and 3 steals to lead the Lady Rockets to a 4-0 record and the tournament championship.

Sidney Neal, Harrisburg: The senior was named to the All-Tournament Team at the Lady Bulldog Preview Tournament after averaging 9 points, 4 assists, and 5 steals to lead the Lady Bulldogs to a 4-0 record and the tournament championship. Neal scored a team season high 18 points in the title game win over Eldorado.

Ethan Willis, Sparta: The senior was named MVP of the Elverado Turkey Tournament after averaging 21 points, 15 rebounds, and 6 assists to lead the Bulldogs to a 3-0 record and the tournament championship. Willis posted double-doubles in all 3 games, including 24 points and 17 rebounds in the title game win over Crab Orchard.
