Bittle’s big night leads Marion past Carbondale

MARION — Jerzy Bittle scored 15 of her game high 26 points in the second half to lead the Marion Lady Wildcats to their fourth straight win, 58-39 over Carbondale.

Marion led 26-23 at the half, then used a 16-3 run over the end of the third and start of the fourth quarter to seize control. The Terriers scored 21 first quarter points but only managed four field goals the rest of the way.

Madysyn Butler led Carbondale with 15. Alexis Ucci was the other Lady Wildcat to reach double figures with 10.

The Lady Wildcats are off until traveling to Cairo next Tuesday. Carbondale will return home to host conference leading Mt. Vernon Thursday night.
