This week’s Josh Finley Country Financial / WMIX Sports Ram of the Week is the Mt. Vernon Rams Boys Golf Team!

The Rams turned in an impressive performance at the South Seven Conference Preview on Monday, August 17, in Marion, firing a team score of 301 to finish tied with Highland atop the field. Mt. Vernon earned the victory on the fifth-player tiebreaker.

The Rams showed tremendous depth, placing five golfers in the top 10.

Xander Ashby and Gage Raney led the way, each firing a 73 to tie for second overall. Coleton Crawford followed with a 77 to finish seventh, while Luke Heaney and Max Rinehart each shot 78 to tie for 10th. Slade Emery rounded out the Rams lineup with an 84.

With a 301 team score, five top-10 finishers, and a South Seven Preview victory over Highland, the Mt. Vernon Rams Boys Golf Team is this week’s Josh Finley Country Financial / WMIX Sports Ram of the Week!
