HERRIN — The Herrin Tigers celebrated their Collinsville Boys Bowling Sectional championship Saturday night complete with a police escort through town and a reception at Herrin Bowl. Below are pictures sent to us by Josh and Kelli Vorhes, Joe LaBotte, and Angie Helfrich.
Team members include Tyler Dunfee, Leo Preston, Dylon Vancil, Jackson Vancil, Jayden Vorhes, Lake Ward, and Ethan Zoller. Coaches are Barry Hubbard and Chelsey Walker.
The Tigers will compete at the State Tournament starting Friday at the St. Clair Bowl in O’Fallon. Harrisburg and Anna-Jonesboro, as well as Steeleville’s Nicholas Craig and Johnston City’s Nick Edwards also advanced to state.
