MARION — The Mt. Vernon Rams clinched a share of the South 7 championship with a 69-64 win at Marion. The Rams share the title with Carbondale after the Terriers beat Centralia 75-67 in double overtime.
Quani Rudd led the Rams with 26 on a night Amir Spann reached 1000 career points. Marion’s Jackson Connor led all scorers with 27.
These same two teams could meet in the same place next Friday in the championship game of the Marion 3A Regional.
