ELKVILLE — After five seasons as the Elverado Falcons head boys basketball coach, Jacob Emling has resigned. The school board accepted his resignation at last week’s meeting.
Emling will remain as the head softball coach for Elverado’s junior high and high school teams. He was also hired as the school’s athletic director at last week’s board meeting.
Emling went 82-68 in five seasons as the Falcons’ head coach. After going winless (0-25) his first season, the Falcons posted 20-win seasons in three of the last four years.
Darren Kinnard had a chance to catch up with Emling (via Zoom) to talk about his decision to step down.
