Harrisburg remains unbeaten in SIHSFL play

BENTON — Harrisburg improved to 5-0 in the Southern Illinois High School Fall League with a 14-0 win in five innings over Anna-Jonesboro Monday night. A-J falls to 3-2.

Harrisburg scored early and often, plating three in the first and two more in the second before blowing it open with a six-run third inning.

Brandon Banks was the beneficiary on the mound for Harrisburg, tossing four shutout innings before Peyton Arnold came on to get the final three outs in the fifth.

The two teams will face each other again Saturday at 2:15 in Benton.
