Du Quoin sweeps Carterville Invitational

CARTERVILLE — The Du Quoin Indians and Lady Indians enjoyed their visit to Carterville Monday, sweeping the six-team Carterville Cross Country Invitational.

Led by individual medalist Landen Swiney, the Indians edged Anna-Jonesboro by a single point for the boys team title.

Olivia Phillips won the girls race as the Lady Indians took the top four spots and five of the top eight to easily win the team competition.
