Woodlawn’s balanced attack too much for Webber

BLUFORD — Senior Cheyenne Bailey scored 19 points to lead four in double figures as Woodlawn picked up a road win Thursday night, beating Webber 74-26.

The Lady Cardinals seized control with a dominant second quarter. Woodlawn led 18-11 after one, then erupted for 27 second quarter points while holding the Lady Trojans to no field goals and just three free throws.

Joining Bailey in double figures for Woodlawn were fellow seniors Emily McMahon (12 points) and Macy Williams (10 points). Junior Ryan Peterson also tallied ten, with freshman Jase Burkett just missed double figures with nine.

Woodlawn improves to 3-1, 2-0 in the MTC. The Lady Cardinals will visit Salem Friday night. Webber falls to 0-4, 0-3 in the MTC. The Lady Trojans will travel to Wayne City next Thursday.
