Coaches’ Poll largely unchanged, Murphysboro debuts

The Nashville Hornettes continue to hold down the top spot in the Section618.com Deep South Volleyball Coaches’ Poll. In fact, the top nine teams remain unchanged from last week. Murphysboro makes its poll debut at number 10, edging past Hamilton County for the final spot.

The Hornettes received 9 of the 12 first place votes with Fairfield (2), and Centralia (1) receiving the others. The Annies are the lone unbeaten team left in the poll, but have only played twice so far. Centralia will host Nashville Thursday night in a top 5 showdown.
