JERSEYVILLE — The Centralia Orphans second meeting with the Jerseyville Panthers was much different than the first meeting a couple of weeks ago. The Orphans beat the Panthers at the Hoopsgiving Classic in Roxana, November 26th, 59-18. Tuesday night was much closer with Centralia hanging on for a 50-45 win to remain undefeated at 7-0 on the season.

Jerseyville falls to 5-2 with both of the Panthers’ losses to the Orphans.

Senior Davin Tabor led Centralia in scoring with 12 points, Koby Wilmoth added 11 and Jeremy Dalton had 10.

The Orphans will host the 4-2 Mt. Vernon Rams Friday night at Trout Arena before heading to a Shootout in Nokomis Saturday against Effingham.
