Massac County earns trip to Superman Classic championship game

METROPOLIS — The Massac County Patriots used a 12-0 run to end the third and start the fourth quarters to take control of the second Superman Classic semifinal and then go on to beat Graves County (KY) 63-53.

The Patriots advance to face top-seeded Charleston (MO) in the championship game Saturday night.

Massac County’s sophomore dynamic duo of Isaac Hosman and Will Harmon scored 21 points apiece to lead the Patriots attack. Harmon finished 5-8 from three-point range, while Hosman dished out nine assists.

Graves County’s Drew Thompson led all scorers with 26.

The Eagles will face Carterville in the third place game Saturday night.
