The Orphans jumped out to a five point lead at the end of one quarter, 14-9. Glenwood cut the lead to 26-25 at the half. The second half for the Orphans was all about missed opportunities, especially from the free throw line. Centralia was 2-9 from the line in the second half and finished 7-17 (41%) for the night. Centralia shot 68% as a team from the line leading up to Tuesday.

Glenwood improves to 21-12 and will face the winner of Wednesday’s semifinal between East St. Louis or Marion Friday night for the sectional championship and a date in Monday’s Springfield Supersectional.
The Orphans finish the season 28-4.
