The Annies got off to a quick start. Auburn commit Kalei Edson helped Centralia build a quick 5-2 lead with three kills. Edson had plenty of help. Blaike Knolhoff was a factor at the net with multiple kills, including set point.

The Rangerettes got off to a good start in the second set. Benton’s Kylea Wilkerson helped the Rangerettes stay close with a couple of kills and a few service points.

Then Centralia started to take control. Another two kills from Edson forced the Rangerettes to call a timeout. Centralia continued to get great work at the net, as Jasaiyah Wallace had several blocks. Edson ended the match with an ace.

Benton drops to a record of 2-5, while Centralia improves to 4-3. The Rangerettes will try to end their three game losing streak on the road at Carterville Thursday night. The Annies will try to keep the momentum rolling Thursday night at home against the Woodlawn Lady Cardinals.
