Orthopaedic Center of Southern Illinois Player of the Week nominees

Voting is now open and will run through noon Friday for this week’s Orthopaedic Center of Southern Illinois Player of the Week.

Here are the nominees:

Brodie Denny, Anna-Jonesboro: The senior won the Carbondale Invitational cross country meet with a time of 19:28.

Monique Hart, Massac County: The senior was named MVP after helping lead the Lady Patriots to the championship of the Superman Slam. For the week, Hart tallied 67 kills, 22 blocks, and 7 aces helping Massac County to 7-0 record for the week.

Miah Gilmore, Murphysboro: The sophomore won the John Campbell Invitational cross country meet with a time of 19:26.

Dylon Nalley, Marion: The senior won the Highland Cross Country meet with a time of 14:40.

Frankie Leigh Nicholes, Harrisburg: The earned medalist honors at two 9-hole matches shooting 37 at each and was a part of the runner up team at the Terrier 2-Woman Scramble.

Parker Price, Eldorado: The senior passed for 93 yards and rushed for 172 yards and a touchdown in the Eagles’ 42-16 win over Vienna/Goreville.

Ethan Rivera, Mt. Vernon: The senior rushed for 252 yards and scored 5 touchdowns on offense and had 8 tackles including 2 for loss in the Rams’ 68-41 win over Althoff.

Chase Schneider, Pinckneyville: The senior rushed for 211 yards and scored 2 touchdowns in the Panthers’ 26-8 win over Oblong/Palestine/Hutsonville.

River Stilley, Benton: The sophomore won the Marion Invitational by shooting a six under 66, helping the Rangers to a 23-stroke team victory.

Wyatt Upton, Benton: The senior rushed for 257 yards and scored 5 touchdowns, completed a pass for 43 yards, and added 3 receptions for 15 yards in the Rangers’ 35-6 win over Herrin.
