Massac County pulls away late to win Vienna Classic

VIENNA — Led by a near triple-double from tournament MVP Isaac Hosman, the Massac County Patriots pulled away in the fourth quarter to beat the host Eagles and win the Vienna Classic, 85-64.

The Patriots led by five at the half and extended that lead to 57-49 after three quarters, then outscored the Eagles 28-15 in the fourth.

Hosman finished with 23 points, 10 assists and eight rebounds. He was not alone in stuffing the stat sheet. Teammates Will Harmon and Brady Cissell did their share–Harmon poured in 21 while Cissell tallied 17 points to go with 12 rebounds and six assists.

Vienna’s Charlie King led all scorers with 25 points. Owen Treat added 16.

Hosman, Harmon, King, and Treat all made the all-tournament team, along with Eldorado’s Parker Price and Meridian’s Roderick Gatewood, Junior.
