Congratulations to the latest WMIX Sports/Josh Finley Country Financial Rams of the Week, Hannah Younger and Faith Barrett! These Lady Rams Wrestlers qualified for state out of the Peoria (Richwoods) Sectional on Sat., Feb. 11! Hannah advanced out of the 100 lb weight class after defating Goreville’s Savanna Oslay by fall in 3:44. Younger fell to Normal West’s in the semis and then Belleville’s Alexis Bernal. Faith Barrett qualified out of the 170 lb weight class falling to Richwood’s Jadia Johnson in the semis and taking third over Belleville’s Kami Ratcliff via decision. Barrett also beat Paris’s Aubrey Wilson in the 3rd place semis.

Both Lady Rams lost their first matches at state and subsequently fell in the wrestlebacks with Younger falling in the first round and Barrett defeated in the second. Congratulations on a phenomenal season!
