Congratulations to our latest WMIX Sports/Josh Finley Country Financial Ram of the Week, Malakai Mays. The junior quarterback had a great night in a tough loss to the Cahokia Comanches at Ken Hunt Stadium on Friday, September 29, 2023. Malakai ran in the first score of the game from a yard out and then added another rushing touchdown from two-yards that gave the Rams a then-14-6 lead. After the Comanches jumped out to a 22-14 3rd Quarter lead, Mays responded with an 8-yard touchdown pass to COle Timmons that led to a 22-22 tie. Cahokia would go onto win 36-28, but Mays was 8/14 passing with 126 yards and a TD and added 16 yards on the ground with 2 TDs. What a great night for the Ram QB! Congratulations, Malakai!
