Congratulations to Mt. Vernon Rams Wrestling’s Dillon White! Dillon is week’s two Josh Finley Country Financial Ram of the Week from WMIX Sports! Dillon wrapped up a dominant junior season at 138 pounds with his 2nd place finish at the IHSA Boys Individual State Finals at State Farm Center tonight. White pinned Wauconda’s Cooper Duan in 3:15 in the first round before pinning Geneseo’s Isaac Gaines in 1:04. In the semis, Dillon won by an 11-5 decision over Elmhurst IC Catholic’s Bryson Spaulding to advance to Saturday’s State Final. In the final, Washington’s Wyatt Medlin defeated Dillon by a 10-3 decision–giving him the second place medal. White’s junior season ended with an impressive 40-4 record, a state runner up, sectional championship, and regional championship! Congratulations!
