Congratulations to Mt. Vernon Rams Baseball’s Eli Prost! The junior pitcher is this week’s Josh Finley Country Financial Ram of the Week from WMIX Sports! Prost hurled a complete game shutout in the Rams 5-0 win over visiting Marshall County on Friday, May 9. Throwing a gem, Prost struck out 4 and only allowed 5 hits and a walk while facing 29 batters. The Rams win over the Marshals was the season’s 10th at the time though they are now 11-15. Eli also went 1-2 from the plate with a run scored. Congratulations, Eli Prost!
