Congratulations to this week’s Lynn Braden, State Farm Foxes of the Week—the sectional qualifying Foxes Golf Team!
The Foxes move onto the Sectional after securing a third-place finish at the IHSA Class 1A Boys Golf Regional at Green Hills in Mt. Vernon on Wednesday, Oct 1.
Competing against a talented field, the Foxes held their own, finishing with a team score of 316 — just one stroke behind second-place Mt. Carmel (315) and well ahead of Newton (326), Edwards County (327), and several other schools. Teutopolis took the team title with an impressive score of 292.

- Ethan Kessler – 76
- Larsen Hunt – 76
- Trevor Millenbine – 80
- Mason Hart – 84
- Jaxsen Catron – 94
- Cohen White – 97
Kessler and Hunt led the team with matching rounds of 76, setting the tone early for a focused and determined squad. Millenbine’s solid 80 and Hart’s 84 rounded out the counting scores, sealing the Foxes’ third-place finish and advancement to the Effingham Sectional on Monday, Oct. 6.
