Josh Finley Country Financial Ram of the Week: Cale Maurer

Mt. Vernon Rams senior Cale Maurer has been named this week’s Josh Finley Country Financial Ram of the Week from WMIX Sports after an outstanding performance at the Stove Top Classic at Triad.

The 6’6” forward turned in a dominant week, earning a spot on the All-Tournament Team and leading the Rams to a pair of key wins. Maurer opened the tournament with a big-time showing in a 48–42 victory over host Triad, a rematch of last season’s Sectional Semifinal. He finished with 17 points, 5 rebounds, 3 steals, and 3 blocks, setting the tone on both ends of the floor.

Maurer returned Saturday with another strong outing, delivering a double-double in the Rams’ 48–41 win over Mascoutah, posting 12 points and 12 rebounds to help Mt. Vernon close out the week on a high note.

With his size, energy, and impact in the paint, Maurer proved to be a force throughout the tournament—and a deserving Ram of the Week. Congratulations to Cale Maurer!
