Hamilton County FFA – Section 25 Public Speaking Standouts

This week’s Lynn Braden State Farm Insurance / WMCL Fox of the Week honors a group of Hamilton County students who are proving that leadership doesn’t just happen on the court — it happens at the podium, too.

The Hamilton County FFA Chapter delivered an outstanding performance at the Section 25 Public Speaking Career Development Event on Thursday, February 19, bringing home multiple top finishes against strong competition.

🏆 Elizabeth Halley – 1st Place, Creed Speaking
🥇 Evie Gage – 1st Place, JV Prepared Speech
🥉 Ava Folden – 3rd Place, Varsity Prepared Speech
🎤 Izzy Halley – 4th Place, Varsity Extemporaneous Speech

Public speaking is one of the foundational pillars of FFA, helping students develop confidence, poise, and leadership skills that last a lifetime. These students represented Hamilton County with professionalism and excellence, showcasing the hard work and preparation that goes on behind the scenes.

From memorizing the FFA Creed to crafting and delivering persuasive speeches under pressure, these Foxes stepped up and stood out.
