Madison Barker – Hamilton County FCCLA
Hamilton County students were well represented at the FCCLA Section 9 Meeting held Thursday, March 12 in Fairfield, and one student stood out with both achievement and leadership—earning this week’s Lynn Braden State Farm / WMCL Fox of the Week honors.
Madison Barker had an outstanding showing, earning a Silver certificate for her FCCLA Personal Childcare Provider portfolio. Her accomplishment highlights both her dedication and skill in an area focused on responsibility, care, and real-world application.
In addition to her individual success, Barker was also elected as the FCCLA Section 9 Secretary, further demonstrating the confidence her peers have in her leadership abilities.
The Section 9 Meeting also featured keynote speaker Chris Combs, known for his appearances on 1000-Lb. Sisters. Combs shared a powerful and personal message centered on leadership, gratitude, and perseverance. He encouraged students to push through adversity, say yes to opportunities, and appreciate the mentors who guide them along the way.
Hamilton County also saw continued leadership representation with Maggie Hall being re-elected as FCCLA Section 9 Treasurer, adding to a strong showing for the Foxes at the event.
For her accomplishments both in competition and leadership, Madison Barker is this week’s Lynn Braden State Farm / WMCL Fox of the Week.
