Kelsie Ashcraft – Hamilton County Lady Foxes Softball

Sophomore first baseman Kelsie Ashcraft turned in an impressive performance at the Crab Orchard Tournament on Saturday, May 9, 2026, earning Lynn Braden State Farm / WMCL Fox of the Week honors.

Ashcraft hit .556 during the tournament, going 5-for-9 with three runs scored, two RBI, and two doubles while posting a .778 slugging percentage and 1.333 OPS across three games.

She collected two hits in an 11-5 win over Crab Orchard to open the day. In a 5-3 loss to Tuscola, Ashcraft drove in two runs while adding another hit. She finished the tournament with another two-hit performance against Red Bud, including a pair of doubles and two runs scored in a close 5-4 loss.

For the season, Ashcraft is batting .364 with 27 runs scored, 26 RBI, six doubles, and three home runs. The sophomore also owns a .398 on-base percentage, .527 slugging percentage, and .925 OPS while providing steady defense at first base for the Lady Foxes.

Ashcraft’s production throughout the tournament helped pace Hamilton County offensively against strong competition.
