Herrin, 4 individuals advance to State Bowling final round

O’FALLON — The Herrin Tigers along with Harrisburg teammates Devin Davis and Sebastian Barton as well as Anna-Jonesboro teammates Aden Hopkins and Tyler Sutton all qualified for Saturday’s final round at the Boys State Bowling Championship in O’Fallon.

The top 12 teams make the cut after the first round. Herrin snagged the final team spot. Harlem has the lead after one day with a score of 6613, 193 pins ahead of Vernon Hills. Herrin is 546 pins back.

The top 30 individuals not on the 12 teams making the cut also advance. Davis was 24th after round one. Hopkins was 45th, Barton 47th, and Sutton 55th.
