Two weeks ago, the Lady Lions won the state championship in Bloomington. The team was welcomed home that night with a fire truck and police escort. There was a school assembly that next week. Friday night, the school held a reception prior to the Lions’ game with Pinckneyville to honor only the fourth state championship team in any sport in school history.

The team performed their state championship routine for the home crowd between games.
