Another holiday tournament canceled

WAYNE CITY — You can add the 67th Annual Conrad Allen Holiday Tournament to the growing list basketball tournaments canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Wayne City High School announced the decision to cancel the tournament that was originally scheduled for December 12-19.

While final IHSA sport specific regulations are not in place for the winter sports, many schools have already canceled tournaments this year.

In a release sent out Monday, Wayne City athletic director Jake Talbert said the 2020 version of the Conrad Allen was slated to see the return of Edwards County and Sandoval to the field, as well as the addition of the first Chicago Public School–the Horizon Science Academy-Southwest.
