MARION — The Marion Wildcats are ready to pick up right where they left off following a 6-0 season back in the spring.
Kerry Martin’s club has loads of experience on both sides of the ball, especially on defense where nine starters return.
Offensively, the Wildcats should have a strong ground game, as well as the always dangerous Venson Newsom at receiver. Martin says multiple quarterbacks will see time this year, replacing Hunter Simmons who is now at SIU.
The Wildcats will open the season Saturday night, August 28th at Herrin.
