BENTON — The Benton Rangerettes and Hamilton County Lady Foxes each survived their regional semifinals and will now go head to head Friday night at Rich Herrin Gym for the Benton 2A Regional championship.

The Rangerettes carried a 30-19 lead into the fourth quarter of the first semifinal against Eldorado, but the Lady Eagles rallied behind senior Lilly Mosby. Eldorado was able to get as close as four in the final 30 seconds, but Benton made enough free throws to hang on for a 36-31 win. Mosby led all scorers with 18 points. Braelyn Miller led the Rangerettes with 11 points. Ensley Tedeschi added 10.

Points were tough to come by for the first quarter and a half of the second semifinal between Hamilton County and Harrisburg. The Lady Foxes led 3-2 after one quarter. The Lady Bulldogs found the range from outside the arc knocking down four three-pointers in the second quarter to take a 20-16 lead at the half. Hamilton County outscored Harrisburg 29-22 in the second, including 5-1 in the final 40 seconds for the win.
