This week’s WMIX Sports/Josh Finley Country Financial Rams of the Week honors belong to Lady Rams Basketball. The Lady Rams made quick work of the Marion 3A Regional with a 71-33 win over Carbondale and an 81-55 win over Marion in the championship game. The championship added more accolodates to a season that included a Benton Christmas Classic Title and an undefeated South Seven Conference Championship which saw the Lady Rams stretch their conference winning streak to 28. This week, following the regional, the Lady Rams got a big 85-81 sectional semifinal win over East St. Louis before falling 66-54 to Highland in the Sectional Championship. The Lady Rams finished their season 28-7, 10-0. 28 wins matched the school record for wins in a season. Congratulations, Lady Rams!
