The Hamilton County Foxes Special Olympians delivered an outstanding performance at the Region K Spring Games held Friday, May 1, at Hamilton County High School, showcasing determination, sportsmanship, and success across multiple events.
Leading the way, Hallie Deen turned in a dominant day with first-place finishes in both the softball throw and the 100-meter run. Christian Rister also captured gold in the 100-meter run while adding a second-place finish in the softball throw.
In the field events, Jerry Clark earned a first-place finish in the shot put and added a fourth-place effort in the 100-meter run. Jynn Patton secured first place in the softball throw and placed fifth in the 100-meter run, while Clayton Henderson finished second in the shot put and fourth in the 100-meter run. Gracie Pate rounded out the strong showing with a fourth-place finish in the softball throw and third place in the 100-meter walk.
The highlight of the day came in the debut of the 4×100-meter relay, where the team of Deen, Clark, Henderson, and Patton captured first place and qualified for the state competition—marking a memorable milestone for the program. The State Track & Field Event will be head Friday, June 12, and Saturday, June 13, 2026, at the Illinois State University Redbird Track & Field Complex in Normal. More information is available here.
