MT. VERNON — After 19 seasons as head coach and just shy of 350 wins, Doug Creel is retiring as the Mt. Vernon Rams’ boys basketball coach and athletic director.
Creel will stay on as AD and help with the transition for his yet to be named replacement.
The Rams were 348-198 during Creel’s two different as the Rams’ head coach. His teams won eight regional and four sectional championships.
Creel sat down with Darren Kinnard to talk about his decision, staying on to help with the AD transition, as well as what’s ahead.
